Jennifer Toro
About
Jen Toro is a trauma-informed mindfulness practitioner specializing in nervous-system regulation and emotionally safe, accessible practices for individuals and mental-health and recovery settings. Her work is grounded in evidence-based mindfulness and informed by experience supporting anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, substance-use recovery, and emotional dysregulation.
She facilitates mindfulness, breathwork, gentle movement, and therapeutic sound in a calm, non-overwhelming way that prioritizes safety, choice, and attunement. Designed to integrate alongside clinical care, her practice supports regulation and resilience without replacing therapeutic treatment.

More than a Practitioner
Jen grew up in a small rural town in central Pennsylvania before heading west to attend Arizona State University, where she earned her degree in psychology. From an early age, she felt a deep connection to people and carried a quiet knowing that supporting others through their inner worlds would one day be part of her life’s work.
After meeting her husband in college, Jen moved to California and became a mother to two sons. She spent many years devoted to raising her family as a stay-at-home parent, approaching motherhood with intention, presence, and care. During this time, she also navigated her own experiences with anxiety, depression, and profound grief, including the loss of her father in 2015. These seasons of life deeply shaped her understanding of emotional pain, resilience, and the healing journey.
In 2019, Jen began intentionally turning inward, committing to her own mental and emotional well-being. She immersed herself in mindfulness, breathwork, sound healing, therapy, and other somatic-based practices. Through years of personal exploration and professional training, she has cultivated a grounded, compassionate approach to healing—one that continues to evolve alongside the people she is honored to support.

The Approach
Jen’s work is grounded in a trauma-informed, nervous-system–first approach that prioritizes safety, regulation, and emotional pacing. Rather than pushing for insight or transformation, her sessions focus on helping the body feel supported and settled, creating space for healing to unfold naturally.
What sets Jen apart is the way she blends mindfulness, breathwork, gentle movement, and therapeutic sound in an accessible, non-overwhelming way. Designed to integrate seamlessly alongside clinical care, her approach offers predictable, compassionate support that meets individuals where they are and complements therapeutic goals without replacing treatment.
